Betsson on a smartphone: a practical guide

Mobile site or app? What each option offers at Betsson and how to set it up.

Playing in the browser

The mobile site works in Safari, Chrome and other browsers. Nothing needs installing, which makes it the quickest start. Navigation is designed for small screens, so nothing important is hidden.

The live casino works on mobile too, with video adapted to the screen. The sportsbook is fully available, including live betting. Whatever you do on the phone is reflected on desktop and vice versa. All titles in the lobby run on mobile, from slots to table games.

Adding the site to your home screen gives you one-tap access. In most browsers, the option is in the share or settings menu. Unlike an app, it never needs updating. How the mobile site scores overall is covered in the full review of Betsson.

App or shortcut

On Android, the app comes straight from the casino website, since the Play Store does not carry it in many regions. The phone will ask for permission to install. This is a standard warning for anything installed outside the store. Our APK install guide walks through the installation step by step.

On iOS, the mobile site in Safari is the recommended way to play. Apps and the mobile site offer the same games and features.

Getting the best experience

You do not need a high-end device to play comfortably. Graphics-rich games take a little longer on older phones, but they still work. Keeping software up to date prevents most glitches.

• Stream live games over Wi-Fi where possible
• Reels look wider in landscape
• A stuttering game often stops when background apps are closed
• Long sessions drain the battery, so plug in if needed
• Clearing the cache fixes most display problems

Slots use relatively little data, while live streams use much more. Use mobile data for slots and Wi-Fi for live play. Interrupted games usually resume or display the result once you are back online.

Cashier and help on a phone

The full cashier is available on the phone. Players in Pakistan can pay on the phone with Bank Transfer, Sadapay, Upaisa, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, iCash. One, JetonBank and Cashmall. You may need to switch to your wallet app to confirm. Our deposit methods guide lists every option with its limits.

You can photograph your ID and upload it directly. A sharp, well-lit photo of the whole document save you a second request. Help is one tap away 24/7, via live chat, email and phone. All channels are compared in our customer support guide.

Promotions on the phone

The welcome offer of 100% up to PKR 163,000 + 50 free spins works the same on mobile. The mobile cabinet shows the rollover progress.

Security basics

Bookmark the correct address to avoid look-alike sites. Avoid APK files from unknown sources. Always open the casino through its official address. How to recognise the real address is explained in the official website guide.

Log out when you use someone else's device. A second login step is worth switching on. A PIN, fingerprint or face lock protects the account if the device is lost.

Public networks is convenient but less safe. Keep banking for trusted networks. The casino will never ask for your password by message, phone call or email, and support should hear about any message of that kind. If you lose your phone, change your password from another device as soon as possible.

Healthy phone habits

Constant access makes self-control more important. Session reminders help you notice how long you have been playing. Deposit limits can be set from the phone.

Avoid playing when tired, stressed or in a hurry. Keep it fun, and stop when it is not. Turn off promotional notifications if they tempt you to play more. Breaks and self-exclusion can be set from the phone. If you notice that you reach for the casino every time you pick up your phone, it may be time to remove the shortcut or the app for a while. Independent organisations can help at no cost.
