Getting the APK

In most regions, Google Play does not carry real-money gambling apps. The casino therefore publishes an APK file for Android on its own website. The APK format is what every Android app uses under the hood.

Use the genuine casino address and nothing else. Files from unofficial sources can contain malware or steal login details. Support can confirm the right download address. The genuine Betsson address is covered in a separate guide.

The whole process takes about a minute, with a download that is light enough for mobile data. Check that the phone has some free space.

Installing on Android

The steps are nearly identical across Android brands. Settings names vary slightly by manufacturer, though the steps do not change. Keep to the order below and the app is ready in a couple of minutes.

• On the phone, open the official site and tap the Android download
• Allow installation from this source when Android asks
• Open the APK from the notification or the downloads folder
• Press install and wait a few seconds
• Sign in with your usual login details

You will see a standard warning before installation. The notice is the same for any app from a website, not only for casino apps. Once the app is in place, you can switch the permission off again.

Inside the app

Games, banking and chat are all there. You get the same lobby of over 7000 games. Bettors find the complete sportsbook in the app. The account is the same, so your balance and history follow you. Favourites saved on the website appear in the app as well. Our Betsson casino review covers games, bonuses and payments in full.

Notifications keep you informed about promotions. Notifications can be muted at any time.

Payments in the app use the same methods as the website, so players in Pakistan can deposit via Sadapay or EasyPaisa. Confirmation may open your wallet or banking app for a moment, which is normal. The camera makes uploading your ID quick and easy. Every method and its minimum are listed in our deposit guide.

Updates and fixes

New versions arrive through the app itself. Keep the app current to avoid errors and security gaps. If an update fails, download the latest APK again from the official site.

When the app refuses to start

Failed installs are usually caused by a missing permission or a broken download. Remove the APK, download it again and repeat the steps. Clearing the app cache solves many display issues. Very old Android versions may not be supported, in which case the mobile site is the alternative.

App problems go to support 24/7 through live chat, email and phone.

Which one to choose

App and site share the lobby, the cashier and the bonuses. No wish to install anything? Stick with the browser. The app is handy for regular players who want quick access and notifications. The mobile site has a guide of its own.

Bonuses are identical in both versions. Wagering progress and responsible gaming tools can be checked in the app. You can use both, since the account is the same. Some people keep the app for quick sessions and the desktop site for longer ones. Settings, limits and favourites stay with the account.

Good habits

Two-step verification protects your balance. Since the app keeps you logged in, lock the phone with a PIN or fingerprint. Keep passwords and codes to yourself.

Turn off promotional notifications if they make you play more than you planned. Play only from 18, with money you can spare. Use the responsible gaming tools available in the app. Cooling-off periods work in the app too. Deleting the app temporarily is a valid way to break a habit, and talking to a support service is always an option.
